YO YO KR!

Presenting to you…. KR’S VERY OWN LIP DUB VIDEO!

After weeks of planning and coordinating, we have finally completed what we initially thought was impossible! Honestly, we can’t help but feel so overwhelmed when we see how Kent Ridgeans, despite all our differences, come together as one to relive the KR spirit. We sure hope you had as much fun as we did!

I guess this is truly what KR is all about- being in a family where we support one another, and have fun! :)

Open House 2012’s in two days, so let’s do all we can to get our juniors down so they can experience for themselves a slight glimpse of Kent Ridge Hall. (Oh, and hopefully understand why we hold KR so close to our heart <3)

See you there!

With much love,

Your HPB 11/12

An interview with Mr and Miss KR 2011! :)

Hello Esther and Fahmy! Thanks for making time for this Interview. Let’s start with a simple introduction. Tell us about yourself

Fahmy: Hello, I’m from Engine and I’m mainly a sporty person. I’ve been playing Soccer since primary school. That’s been my main CCA. I only picked up Takraw when I came to KR. For me, I joined road relay not because I want to compete but because I am a lazy person, and I need something to force me to run. (Haha lol)

Esther: Hello, I’m a Year 2 FASS student. Similar to Fahmy, I play sports as well. Mainly Netball.

Photobucket

That’s nice. It seems both of you really enjoy sports. Why did you choose Kent Ridge Hall?

Fahmy: When I choose my hall, I only look at one thing: Appearance of the hall. For me, i am a clean person. I need my living environment to be nice. After observing all the halls, I feel that KR clearly has the edge above the rest. The appearance and facilities of KR is nice, and the previous HPB batch did quite a good job at promoting it.

Esther: As for me, I chose KR because my senior introduced me to it. I didn’t regret it, obviously because it’s a really fun place to be, and it’s like my second home now.

Photobucket

Nice. Tell us some interesting facts about yourself.

Fahmy: I don’t think people know that I have a boat license.

Esther: Yeah, Fahmy can drive almost everything! To me, he’s like a mother duck, because he never fails to care for the people around him, especially when we go overseas.

Fahmy: Haha, no I’m not a mother duck. But anyway, another thing about me is that I am very particular about where I put my things. When I take something, I must put it back where it belongs. There’s an exact place for every item in my room.

Esther: As for me, people think I look very dao, but I’m actually very friendly. (Which is true!)

Fahmy: OH! This girl is into make up. She has like a million types of make up. For her future date to woo her, he must buy her make up. She’ll be happy. (Talks to Esther) Can you like name one brand of your favourite make up?

Esther: Tarte. It’s a super good blush.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Haha that’s interesting! Anyway, next question. What features of the opposite sex attracts you?

Fahmy: Oh! I like this question. I like girls with long wavy hair, no not only that, must have NICE, long and wavy hair. I repeat, must be NICE, long and wavy hair. If it’s only long and wavy, but not nice, then not nice already. It's the hair that maketh the woman.

Esther: (Talks to Fahmy) That’s so superficial. For me, I’m definitely attracted to someone who has a plan in life. He must be really neat too.

Fahmy: (Talks to Esther) Sounds like me!

Esther: (laughs and continue) He must be intelligent, and fun to be with. Not like this guy so superficial. Everything about appearance!

Fahmy: Ahem. I haven’t say finish. For me, I like a confident girl. She must also be sweet. As of now that should be all.

Photobucket

Okay one last random question. If I came to your home and looked in the fridge, what would I find?

Fahmy: Yogurt, Milk, no I mean FULL CREAM milk… This is for gymming purposes. Erm, oh yes, Fruits..Must have a lot of fruits. Mainly the healthy stuff cause I’m on a healthy diet.

Esther: I’ll probably have only some ice. Because I usually eat out, so I wouldn’t really have much food in my fridge. Oh, there should be Cream cheese, because im selling cheese cake now. Anyone wants to buy cheese cake please look for me!

Thank you very much Mister and Miss KR! :)

YO YO KR! :)

The holidays are over, and Sem 2 has officially begun!

We sure hope you're settling well in school so far. It is great to see Kent Ridge Hall come back to life again after the vacation break :)

Anyway, it's currently the Inter- Hall Games (IHG) season, and boy, things are getting pretty exciting around here isn't it? Day after day, we watch our Kent Ridgeans break out in sweat as they play against the other halls in various sports. We hear our supporters cheer their heart out, and watch the Kent Ridge flag being swung with pride. Hats off to the awesome Sports Management Unit (SMU) for hype-ing all of us up, constantly bringing us updates of IHG results, and driving us to and fro :D (Haha l-o-l to the van)

I wonder who will emerge champion this year? Whatever it is, it's great to feel the spirit of KR in the atmosphere. (K K K K RRRRR!)

Anyway, if you haven't noticed by now, this blog has officially been resurrected! Do check back often for more juicy updates about what's up in KR.

For now, here's presenting to you, your beloved HPB 11/12!
